Our store, Marvelous Comic Books, offers
collectible comic books from all primarily the Golden Age through the Copper Age. This translates roughly to 1950 through 1995. Top titles include Batman and Superman from DC Comics, and Spider-Man, Hulk and many others from Marvel Comics.
I realized the other day, as I scanned probably my two thousandth comic cover, that I've got quite a few covers here. I might be strange, but, my attraction to comic books primarily lies in the cover art. I think the art is fascinating, and the cover usually represents a deeper, more intense depiction from the artist.
Here's a secret - I've been selling comics for more than 10 years and I've NEVER read a comic from cover to cover. I've tried to read some story lines, but quickly lost interest.
Back to my blog...I'm betting there are others who share my passion for the cover art. So I'm going to post the actual covers I have scanned here. Naturally, they will be biased towards my likes, after all it is my blog.
after I get a few of my favorites in here. I look around to figure out how to post some polls for others favorite covers. It would neat to have the favorite or most popular covers rise to the top.
